
Cebu City is the capital of the Province of Cebu and is the oldest city in the Philippines. Its boundaries are Mandaue City and the Municipality of Consolacion in the north, Toledo City and the Municpality of Balamban in the west, Talisay City in the south and the Mactan Strait in the east.

There are many tourist attractions in Cebu City itself, most with some assocciation with Magellan's arrival here in 1521 and the city's status at the birthplace of Catholisicm in the Philippines.
