Cebu City is the capital of the Province of Cebu and is the oldest city in the Philippines. Its boundaries are Mandaue City and the Municipality of Consolacion in the north, Toledo City and the Municpality of Balamban in the west, Talisay City in the south and the Mactan Strait in the east. The island of Cebu is the ninth largest in the Philippines and it is the second largest city.

Cebu City, an important transport hub with ferry and air connections to the rest of the Philippines. Getting to Cebu is simple.There are dozens of flights daily from Manila and frequent flights from a number of other key destinationss. Also very accessible by land or by sea travel. Getting arround Cebu City is very easy. Colorful jeepneys are the most common and affordable means of public transport. Taxicabs are also widely available. Trycycles or Motorcyles for hire and trisikads or bicycles with sidecars are popular in the different barangays.

There are many tourist attractions in Cebu City itself, most with some assocciation with Magellan's arrival here in 1521 and the city's status at the birthplace of Catholisicm in the Philippines. Cebu is a tropical playground, with excellent beaches and watersports and local fresh seafood restuarants.
